Moving to Substack:

I’m coming out of the fog after a busy week and my body getting a wee bit too stressed. At least I've learned the lesson - Keep going, but know when to slow down!

If I don’t slow down and take care of myself, I will end up with much worse. I’m so happy I’ve got a partner and friends who understand and will make sure I rest.

Am I over-sharing? No, I don’t think so. I want other folks out there who push themselves to know they are not alone.

This month is all about my administrative duties. I’m catching up on my email, transitioning to a new newsletter platform, updating the front and back matter for all of my books, reordering things for future events, and enjoying an ARC read for Samantha Bryant. I love her GenX romances and Menopausal Superheroes stories. Way different from what I have written thus far, but so much fun!

I am still working toward my goals for the Rough Draft Challenge, but I’m not stressed over it. It’s a fantasy I’m calling Tear of the Dragon. I’m not sure when I’ll be releasing it, but you’ll be the first to know. I was thrilled when the original artist I commissioned for drawing some characters gave me permission to use them however I see fit. His name is Peter Bradley, and I will definitely place those gorgeous works of art in the book when it’s published. He gets all the credit.

What I want for the book cover art is something symbolic and flourishing. I just don’t have the money to go too far right now. I pay for non-AI art, and I want to pay a fair price. However, I’ve recently had to handle my doggo’s vet expenses, so that puts me behind. Pets are family, and they come first.
