What are your Holiday Plans?

This weekend coming up weekend will essentially be our holiday get-together with friends and family.

We celebrate the Winter Solstice - Yule, in other words. But, we have friends and family who celebrate Christmas. So our household has always celebrated both!

This weekend will be filled with hanging out with the family, then a pot-luck dinner and gift exchange with our friends.

What will you be doing? Keep safe, and most importantly, KEEP GOING!

Remember... If you haven't grabbed the copies of The Pack's Dragon or the newsletter exclusive prequel novella, Plight of the Pack, use these links to do so. The Pack's Dragon is the very first prequel and is also available as a paperback.

In the Dragon's Lair -

Book Five is coming along, but we've got to decide on what goes and what stays. It's complicated. You see, we kind of over-wrote this book. There are two major events that could be considered climactic moments. Maybe three... actually.

But, think of this book as an action-packed motion picture where our cast of characters all need to get a moment to tie up their side plots with a lovely little bow - while dancing, fighting, and casting magic around the main plot: Will Gabriel be able to prove that dragons deserve to live like the other supernaturals in their world? Will Director Skinner finally get the end he deserves?

That being said, would you like a little taste?

“They let our clan be slaughtered and did nothing! They took our knowledge and our magic to make their lives better, and when we needed them, they helped our enemies! While killing our children, they acted like they were some sort of heroes. Dragon slayers?" Inea scoffed. “I showed them what heroes they were. I showed them what fighting a REAL dragon was, and they all perished.” She spat out the last word.

“For this testimony, tell the truth. But let them see the vulnerable heart we’re seeing right now. Let your pain become less rage and more sorrow. Show them your grief if they push you. As long-lived as the other councilors are, they will feel this with you. They will relate to you. I’ll make sure of it. And they will see the error of their ways.”

“Are you sure?” Inea asked.

“Times have changed, and so have you. There are laws that punish those who harm children, no matter what race or species, but they never protected dragons. That needs to change,” Zenlial whispered. “Largros could have provided the fear and pain that comes with being hunted, but it’s the tale of a younger dragon who has not seen so much. You can show them the grief, pain, and anger of a mother who has lost her child and therefore, her world.”
