Things have gotten wild in reality. I hope everybody is safe and sound. Physically, mentally, and emotionally... 2025 has been tough on all of us.

This is September, a month of rest between constant writing and revising for me. So what am I doing? I’m beta reading and ARC reading for other authors!
When you’re an indie author who can barely afford your editing and artwork, you make connections in the authoring realm. You help each other and lift one another up. We don’t see ourselves as being in competition.
I wanted to share some of these authors with you because they are outstanding. I know they will not be everyone’s cup of tea, but maybe you’ll find some new favorites? See below for some of those.
Besides that, I am traveling and hosting a lot this month. We had our kids here for the first week of September. This weekend I’ll be traveling to spend time with my ladies in the Triangle area of North Carolina. The following week, I’m going to the Gulf Coast for the first time in years. And I believe the last weekend, we plan on attending a Geek & Grub session to check out whether we want to attend these events regularly in the future.
So, just because I consider this month a “rest month” for me, doesn’t mean I slow down much. What I have promised myself is not to push myself and to relax more. After all, October brings with it another “All the Words” month of streaming and trying to reach my goals! Vampires & Vendettas just got back from the editor! I am reeling at how this is finally coming together. I will be working on this during the final week of September and the first week of October. I want to be able to release it to everyone by Halloween!
Dragons & Dreams has a book cover and a specialty, limited edition book cover art as well! We just approved all of that, and we are in the throes of 3rd drafts, which we want to get in the hands of beta readers this month. This is the final installment of The Dragon Tasker Series. After this is published, we will take a break from the main timeline and publishing shorter companion stories.
Speaking of those shorter companion stories, we are working on releasing Moons Over Ordia (Twilight and Kieran's story) along with Scales and Petals (Rose and Nathan's story) as soon as we can get them finished. And right after the main series is released, along comes My Dragon Masquerade (Alex and Arkin's story) which is ready and waiting.
