What are your plans for October?

For me, October is a "work month" but at the same time, I am taking every opportunity possible to go to Autumn Fests, Fall Fests, or Halloween Fun.

I'm considering attending some events next year as a vendor and setting up book-signings. After all, when you write about supernatural beings, this season is on-theme.

Where do you plan on going this season for fun? Let me know!

I’m currently taking part in All the Words October with a bunch of other authors and Authortubers. We are using sprint streams to help us focus on getting our projects done in October. This is important to me because I have to finish Book Four - Vampires & Vendettas by the end of Autumn. I was hoping for October as a release month, but it may be November. We shall see!

As someone living with ADHD, sprinting to a timer really helps. It makes me focus on one thing at a time for a prolonged amount of time. It is the structure my brain needs for getting tasks done, not just writing and revising, but also things like chores as well. It also helps me keep track of when I need to take a break (especially important since my eye issues kicked up). so, if you ever want to try those out, I run them on both Youtube and Twitch. My links are below.

Remember... If you haven't grabbed the copies of The Pack's Dragon or the newsletter exclusive prequel novella, Plight of the Pack, use these links to do so. The Pack's Dragon is the very first prequel and is also available as a paperback.

In the Dragon's Lair -

I'm going to be putting in a lot of rough hours over the next two weeks to get things handled within the parameters I set for myself. The revisions in Book 4 are taking longer than I planned. BUT - I believe the changes I am making will be worth all of the blood, sweat, and tears in the end.

I believe it's because this book is the "transition book" of the series. It's the book that is both the emotional rollercoaster as well as the set-up book for the climax. A lot of authors refer to this portion of a story as the "Muddy Middle." I believe that title definitely fits.

After all, when you think about it, even though each book in a series has it's own plotlines, the series itself is one HUGE story that must go through the same steps as a single book. Book 4 is a tough one.

The beta readers loved it and so did the editor. But the editor also had some words of caution and left my manuscript bleeding.

So, here...we...go!

If you get that reference, let me know and I'll send ya a goodie!
